When this aircraft successfully entered the universe, it began a long journey. It has been drifting in space for 43 years. In addition, Voyager 1 is still moving forward without the slightest thought of looking back.
According to measurements, Voyager 1 has now flown to a distance of about 21.6 billion kilometers, which is equivalent to 144 astronomical units.
Travelers are creating the record of the longest flight distance of human aircrafts every minute and second. Not only that, it is constantly transmitting the data it has detected to the earth. So how does it achieve long-distance transmission when the distance is so far away?

First of all, we have to exclude solar energy because of the distance of Voyager 1. The farther the distance is, the more unstable the solar energy supply will be. So engineers took that into account and installed a nuclear generator for Voyager one, which is the secret of its ability to fly nonstop.
According to the introduction of the aircraft by scientists, the aircraft was designed in the late 1970s. At that time, all kinds of human technology and equipment were not as developed as they are today.
So the original data transmission mode of voyager-1 was by radio, and the staff on the ground also sent signals to voyager-1 by radio. Although the propagation speed of radio waves can reach the speed of light, but also because of the distance problem, the signal strength will be affected accordingly.
Scientists say that when voyager-1 sends signals to the earth from a distant place, the staff on the ground can only receive one in 100 trillion of the strength of the original signal.
Gradually, with the development of human science and technology, communication technology has also been improved. Scientists have enhanced voyager-1’s communication signals in many ways.
In fact, at the beginning of its design, voyager-1 was equipped with a giant parabolic antenna with a diameter of 3.7 meters. The purpose of this is that the antenna can always aim at the earth when voyager-1 is flying in space. And NASA has built three space network monitoring stations in different places on earth.
The goal is to enable these stations to enhance the signal from Voyager 1 to earth, and to ensure that the signals sent by scientists to Voyager 1 can also be accurately received.
But some scientists don’t think that’s going to help, because at present we can receive the signal from Voyager one at a rate of only 16 times per second.
In addition, Voyager 1 will fly farther and farther in the future, and one day it will lose contact with the earth completely. At that time, it became the messenger appointed by human beings, traveling to the depths of the universe alone.
Interestingly, before the launch of Voyager I, NASA installed a specially made metal record on the spacecraft, which contains the most representative sounds on earth. Maybe Voyager I can be protected from other creatures in the deep space.
The reason for the launch of voyager-1 is that human beings want to further explore whether there is an alien civilization in the universe.
