13.8 billion years ago, a mysterious singularity exploded. After the big bang, the universe was born. At the moment of the birth of the universe, two things were born, namely time and space. Time and space, which we often combine now, are called spacetime.
Since human beings entered the era of science and technology, they began to study and explore time and space. The complexity and mystery of time and space are also very different. Relatively speaking, space is easier for us to understand and explore, because the world we live in, the universe is a vast space, and we can really see and feel the love of space Some phenomena and mysteries.
In the research and exploration of space, scientists found that space can be distorted, and the most obvious one is the rapid expansion of the universe, which is far faster than the speed of light. We should know that the birth time of the universe is only 13.8 billion years, and the observable cosmic range of human beings has reached 93 billion light years, and this range is just the tip of the iceberg of the universe. This shows how fast the universe is expanding. It is faster than the speed of light.

After Einstein put forward the theory of relativity, he had more cognition of space and knew that space can be distorted.
So Einstein thought of a question: since space can be distorted, what about time? So Einstein put forward the theory of time distortion, that time and space can be distorted. After the theory was put forward at that time, many people questioned it. They thought that time is going through every day and we didn’t find that time is getting faster and slower. How can it be distorted?
But as time goes on, people gradually find that Einstein’s theory is correct and time can be distorted. The reason for this conclusion is that scientists have carried out several related experiments. I believe many people know that “time slow scale contraction”, also known as “clock slow scale contraction”, comes from Einstein’s special theory of relativity. In 1971, physicist Joe huffler（ Joe.Hafele ）With Richard Keating（ Richard.Keating ）A flying atomic clock experiment was designed. They placed a high-precision atomic clock on the plane and flew around the earth. Then they compared the time readings of the atomic clock on the plane with those on the ground. The experimental results confirmed the authenticity of the “time slow scale” for the first time.
In 1996 and 2010, the National Physics Laboratory (NPL) carried out two similar experiments using a higher precision atomic clock, and the experimental results are basically consistent with the formula of “time slow scale”. These experiments have confirmed that with the increasing of the object’s speed, the time it takes is shorter.
I believe many people know the theory of light speed limit put forward by Einstein’s theory of relativity, that is, the speed limit of an object is the speed of light. When the speed of an object is infinitely close to the speed of light, its time is infinitely close to static.
In addition to the “clock slow scale” effect, Einstein also proposed the “gravitational time expansion” effect. This theory tells us that in a gravitational field, the greater the mass of the gravitational source, the shorter the time that the object in the gravitational field experiences, and the farther the object is from the gravitational source, the longer the time it experiences.
And the theory of “gravitational time expansion” has also been confirmed, and it is also widely used in modern communication technology. For example, the core theory of our current GPS system is the “gravitational time expansion” effect. The GPS system is strictly adjusted according to Einstein’s relevant formula, otherwise we can’t carry out accurate positioning at all.
Through the experiment of the above theory, we come to the conclusion that time can also be distorted. Although the phenomenon of “time warp” has been confirmed by scientists, due to the limitations of human science and technology, we can not really apply time warp to achieve higher research and exploration. The reason for this is that our spacecraft’s power technology is still very backward, and we can’t make the speed of the spacecraft close to or even exceed the speed of light.
And we still can’t get the spacecraft close to the massive objects in the universe, such as neutron stars and black holes. Some scientists speculate that the region, time and space inside the event horizon of the black hole may have been seriously distorted, where time may be very slow, or even at a stop. If we can drive the spacecraft into the black hole, it is possible to realize the passage of time and space,
If time and space can be distorted, then is the legendary time-space crossing and time crossing real? Theoretically speaking, since time can be distorted, space-time travel should exist, but we can’t prove such a thing now. If time machine really exists, why don’t future human beings come to modern times by time machine? There may be more mysteries.
Of course, the fact that time warping has been confirmed by scientists only lets us know that time really exists, how the process of time warping occurs, and what’s the mystery?
