The moon is the only natural satellite of the earth. Since ancient times, people have a different feeling for the moon, not only because the moon is the only satellite of the earth, but also because it brings brightness to the earth at night. In the daytime, the sun’s brilliance guides people’s travel. At night, people can rely on the stars and the moon for their travel. In particular, the night with the moon is brighter, and people’s travel at night is more convenient.

In ancient times, people had many myths and legends about the moon. In these myths and legends, the moon was a beautiful and livable planet. However, with the progress of human science and technology, with astronomical telescopes, we know that the moon is actually a very desolate planet, and there is no legend of the Moon Palace, Chang’e and so on.

Fifty years ago, Apollo of the United States carried a man to the moon and brought back some rocks and soil from the moon. Since human exploration has entered a new stage, although there has been no manned landing on the moon until now, the exploration of the moon through the probe has never stopped. Especially after China’s chang’e-4 successfully landed on the moon’s back for the first time, countries all over the world have made bold suggestions to explore the moon in the near future.

After chang’e-4 landed on the moon, our neighbor India was the first to land on the moon. Like China, India is also a developing country with a large population. Although India’s economic strength is not strong, India’s strength in aerospace is not weak. After China’s chang’e-4 successfully landed on Yuebei, India launched “yuechuan-2” on July 22.

Lunar ship 2 is composed of orbiter, lander and lunar rover. On September 2, the lander separated from the orbiter of “yuechuan2” and began to attempt to land in the lunar south pole. At 1:38 local time on the 7th in India, the lander entered the power descent phase from an altitude of about 35 km from the lunar surface and began the planned 15 minute landing.

Originally, the Indian people were about to witness this great historical moment, but at a distance of 2.1km from the lunar surface, the lander suddenly lost contact with the ground. Although people don’t know why moon ship 2 lost contact, once the probe lost contact with the earth, it basically means that moon 2 failed to land on the moon. Perhaps because of India’s failure to land on the moon, landing on the moon has become a hot topic recently.

On January 14, Wu Yanhua, deputy director of the National Space Administration and deputy commander of the lunar exploration project, told the outside world that chang’e-5 would be launched around the end of 2019. Chang’e-5 belongs to the third phase of China’s lunar exploration project. Its main mission is to sample and return to the moon. This mission is also an experiment, because it is the first time for China’s Aerospace Department to carry out such a mission by conducting unmanned sampling of lunar soil and rocks on the moon, and then taking them back to the earth. It requires not only various advanced and complete scientific instruments, but also a variety of scientific instruments So far, only the United States and Russia have done such a thing.

The development of China’s space industry in recent years is very fast, especially in the technology of landing on the moon has reached the world’s advanced level. Although China has not carried out a manned landing on the moon, many people think that China’s manned landing on the moon is actually mature, just for the sake of safety, we need to complete the preliminary preparation step by step.

Chang’e-5 was launched shortly after chang’e-4 landed on the moon, which also shows that China has accelerated the pace of landing on the moon. The mission of chang’e-5 is similar to that of Apollo landing on the moon 50 years ago. The difference is that Apollo is a manned landing on the moon, while chang’e-5 is an unmanned landing on the moon. The main mission of Apollo’s landing on the moon that year was to collect the rocks and soil of the moon and successfully return to earth.

Chang’e-5’s mission is also to collect rocks and soil from the moon and return to earth. There are four main technical problems in sampling, ascending, docking and high-speed reentry. According to the existing design scheme, the lander on chang’e-5 will make a soft landing on the lunar surface, and then automatically sample and package the lunar surface, while the ascender will carry the sample into the lunar orbit and dock with the orbiter there. The collected lunar soil and rock samples will be transferred to the interior of the Returner, and the returner will start to ignite and return from the lunar orbit to the earth orbit According to the plan, it will land on the sparsely populated grassland in Inner Mongolia.

At this time, many people compared the lunar sampling of chang’e-5 before the end of the year with the lunar landing of India’s lunar ship-2. Many people want to know how much difference there is between the two? Of course, people all know that the technical difficulty of China’s chang’e-5 is more difficult than that of moon ship 2, but many people may not know the specific gap.

In fact, there is no comparability between the two, because they are not at the same level at all. If we insist on comparing the differences between the two, there may be a gap of dozens of times. Yuechuan2 just landed a 20 kilogram aircraft on the surface of the moon in a controlled state, while chang’e-5, with a capacity of 8.1 tons, needs to complete the excavation of soil and rock from the surface of the moon, and then bring the collected soil and rock back to the earth. It’s not as difficult as India’s moonboat 2 mission.

Chang’e-5 is equivalent to the unmanned realization of the Apollo moon landing program of the United States. If chang’e-5 can successfully complete the mission, it also shows that China’s manned lunar landing program is basically successful, and the next step is to achieve a real manned lunar landing. Chang’e-5 mission is the front station of the manned lunar exploration project. Through this mission, more relevant data can be obtained to prepare for the future manned lunar exploration project

With the continuous progress of human space science and technology, the future of the moon will be very busy, the world’s space powers will basically set up bases on the moon to collect lunar resources. Although the moon is not big, it has a lot of resources, especially helium-3, the perfect raw material for nuclear fusion reaction, which is an important resource urgently needed by human beings in the future. On the other hand, helium-3 reserves on the earth are only about one ton, while on the moon there are at least one million tons.

In addition to establishing a mining base on the moon, the moon in the future may become the first extraterrestrial planet for human beings. Although the environment of the moon is not suitable for human survival, the establishment of a closed ecological environment can also meet human survival. Therefore, in the future, the moon will build a moon city and become an important space tourism planet for human beings.
