How many new species do you know? Each of them has a unique shape

The earth has a history of 4.6 billion years, and the earth’s early life appeared about 4 billion years ago. After the birth of early life, after billions of years of long evolution, there is now a rich and colorful biological world. There are not only intelligent life, but also millions of kinds of life.

Before human beings entered the era of science and technology, due to various conditions, human beings’ understanding of all kinds of organisms in the biological world of the earth was extremely limited, and we did not know a large number of organisms. Only with the help of science and technology can we have a better understanding of life and constantly discover new species on the earth.

Although mankind is now a science and technology civilization, with the help of powerful science and technology, the understanding of the earth’s biology is not very comprehensive. In the world of life on earth, there are actually three biospheres: the terrestrial biosphere, the marine biosphere and the underground biosphere.

Because human beings live on land, and science and technology are easier and more comprehensive to explore the land, we actually know the most about terrestrial organisms. Even so, about 15% of the organisms on land may not have been discovered by us. These organisms are often concentrated in areas that are difficult for human beings to explore, such as deep in virgin forests, deep in deserts and deep in Antarctica.

The area of the ocean accounts for 71% of the earth’s surface area, and the richness of marine life is no less than that of terrestrial life. However, since human exploration of the ocean is only about 10%, we know less about marine life, especially those living in the deep sea. The underground biosphere is even more complicated. Scientists once thought that even if there was life inside the earth, there was not much.

However, in recent years, with the deepening of research and exploration, scientists have discovered an amazing fact, that is, the underground biosphere is far more complex and huge than we thought. It is possible that the terrestrial and marine biosphere is not as large as the underground biosphere. If we want to understand the biological world of the earth, we need to constantly discover new species. New species on the earth are discovered almost every year. In recent years, there have been many new species in the biological world of the earth. How many do you know? Each one has a unique shape.

1、 South American chinchilla, South American chinchilla belongs to mammal rodent porcupine suborder South American chinchilla family, many people think of mice when they mention mice, in fact, it is completely different from mice. The main difference is that mice are omnivorous, while South American chinchillas are vegetarian. The mouse is a double ovulation tube, while the South American chinchilla is a single ovulation tube, so the mouse (including the hamster) can give birth to a litter every 20 days, while the South American chinchilla can only give birth 1-2 times a year, and the probability of giving birth to 1-2 babies each time is 80%.

Many people may not have heard of South American chinchilla, but if you change the name, I believe many people have heard of it. South American chinchilla, also known as chinchilla, is a kind of pangwu rat that modern people like to raise very much. It’s hard to imagine that this kind of rodent is a close relative of cattle and sheep. Although it is quite different from cattle and sheep in appearance now, they are very similar in the Andes mountains of Chile in 3250 years.

Based on the observation of the skeleton of South American chinchilla, the scientists determined it as a close relative because its tooth structure is very similar to that of cattle, sheep and horses. Its tooth structure is like the mortar and pestle of herbal medicine, which can grind and swallow the roots of plants and plants without damaging the gums and teeth.

2、 This is a new frog species. In 2004, American scientists discovered a small cloud forest in the southeast mountain area of Papua New Guinea. The frogs are yellow, green and grayish brown. When it’s sunny, it’s light green. When it’s in the dim light, it turns light brown again in a few minutes.

Chameleon frog is a kind of frog smaller than coin, only about two centimeters. It is only found in the new mountainous area of Papua New Guinea. It may be that the environment here adapts to the survival of this frog. Because its skin can change like a chameleon, it can easily hide itself and avoid the danger of natural enemies.

Such a small frog, natural enemies will not be less, it can be said that in this region’s biosphere, there is no survival advantage. However, nature is very fair. No matter how small a creature is, it must have a special ability to survive under the rule that things compete with nature and the survival of the fittest. The survival ability of the color changing frog is color changing.

3、 Carnivorous sponge, a new deep-sea animal discovered by scientists. Carnivorous sponge is 2 meters long, cone-shaped, and its appearance is like a waffle biscuit. It was found 2197 meters below the sea level in Australian waters. It has a “mouth” up to half a meter in diameter. When fish or other creatures swim around it and touch it, it will use the funnel-shaped “mouth” to capture the prey, then surround it, trap it in its body and eat it.

4、 This is a new species of Pagrosomus ocellatus found in Papua New Guinea. It is tall and flat, with large eyes and large mouth. Its body color is translucent light pink to light red or orange, and hardly extends to the caudal peduncle. The head and the front half of the body are covered with orange spots of different sizes, and its body length is 2.1cm.

The above four are some new species discovered by scientists in the biological world. In fact, there are so many new species discovered in recent years that we can’t introduce them one by one. Only four of them can be selected for a simple description. According to a scientific report, a total of 71 new species will be found in the world in 2019.

There are 17 species of fish, 15 species of gecko, 8 species of flowering plants, 6 species of sea slug, 5 species of arachnids, 4 species of eel, 3 species of ant, 3 species of Skink, 2 species of ray, 2 species of wasp, 2 species of moss, 2 species of coral and 2 species of lizard. They are distributed in five continents and three oceans.

It can be seen that there are more kinds of organisms on the earth than we think. Although the rapid development of industry and various kinds of pollution have a great impact on the earth’s ecology, many species will disappear every year. However, there are also many species constantly discovered by us, which is only limited to the areas that can be explored by human beings at present, and there may be more novel species in those areas where human beings can not set foot.

Biology is the symbol of the earth’s life planet, and the richness of life types is also an important sign of the earth’s ecosystem. The more organisms in the earth’s biosphere, the better the earth’s ecosystem, but we can also see that the earth’s ecological environment is deteriorating under the influence of human beings. Although there are many kinds of organisms on the earth, under the principle of survival of the fittest, many organisms are unable to adapt to the deterioration of the environment and are disappearing.

If one day, the earth’s biosphere has no biological existence, it means that the earth has completely deteriorated and become a desolate planet. Naturally, human beings can’t survive on the earth. If at that time, human beings are already an interstellar civilization, we can immigrate to other planets to survive. But if, at that time, mankind had not become an interstellar civilization, what would be the fate of mankind? I believe you can think of it.

Guys, what do you think of this? Welcome to leave a message below to discuss and express your opinions.
