Is the plan of American scientists feasible?

Today’s human beings have stood at the top of the food chain. Many people think that we have no natural enemies, but in fact there is a kind of creature on the earth, which will pose a great threat to the survival of human beings. This kind of creature we can see everywhere in summer is the tiny mosquito.

Many people feel funny after seeing this conclusion. Mosquitoes are everywhere. How can they pose a threat to human survival? In the natural evolution of more than 200 million years, earth shaking changes have taken place in the earth’s environment. At that time, there was a lot of radiation on the earth, and all creatures could not escape death. However, due to the heat preservation and isolation of the ocean, some aquatic insects were naturally protected, and these aquatic insects survived, including the common mosquitoes. In the past 200 million years, although there have been large and small extinctions on the earth, mosquitoes have not been affected. They have not only survived to the present, but also become more and more numerous.

The threat of mosquitoes to human beings

Why is it the most threatening creature to human existence? Besides sucking human blood, it is also the host of many pathogens. Dengue fever, malaria and Japanese encephalitis are all related to mosquitoes. Every year, hundreds of thousands of people on earth die of malaria. In fact, the cause of transgression is caused by female protozoa, and the parasite in the blood of human body is actually transmitted by mosquitoes. Despite the rapid development of malaria vaccine for several years, we still can’t cope with the rapid development of malaria vaccine.

Besides malaria, dengue fever is also a great threat to us. According to the statistics of scientists, there are still 2.5 billion people in the world who are threatened with death because of dengue fever, and 1 billion people in China may be at risk of infection. Today’s earth’s environmental situation has become more and more bad, with the rising temperature, scientists believe that this is a big push for mosquito borne diseases. According to their data, the number of deaths caused by mosquito transmission has exceeded 720000. In 2015, 830000 people around the world were killed by mosquitoes.

Genetically modified mosquitoes in the United States

What human beings can do is to reduce the frequency of infection by reducing the number of mosquitoes. Just a while ago, the United States formulated a plan to release genetically modified mosquitoes. They will release 750 million genetically modified mosquitoes to eliminate native mosquitoes with diseases.

But the plan met with opposition from many scientists. They believe that if the two mate and the genes mutate, a new generation of super mosquitoes will emerge, and the struggle between humans and mosquitoes will be endless. This kind of form may be beyond human control. What do you think?
