In ancient times, people often looked up at the starry sky to find out what the sun, moon and a large number of stars were? In the eyes of many ancients, everything in the sky belongs to the earth, and the earth is the whole universe.
However, with the continuous progress of human civilization, some of them have realized that the sun, moon and stars in the sky do not belong to the earth at all, but are celestial bodies outside the earth. After continuous development, hundreds of years ago, mankind entered the road of scientific development and developed astronomical telescopes.
With telescopes, we can see further and see the true face of some celestial bodies beyond the earth. At this time, we finally understand that there is a wider world beyond the earth. So scientists began to explore how to get out of the earth, and this flying dream was soon realized by us.
When we walk out of the earth, we really see the vast universe. In front of the universe, the earth is as small as a grain of dust. Of course, for people who have just stepped out of the earth, what we see is only a vast solar system. Later, with the continuous improvement of observation technology, we saw the Milky way beyond the solar system.
The solar system is just a grain of dust in front of the Milky way. There are 100-400 billion stars in the whole Milky way, and each star basically has a star system. So is the Galaxy Big? From the angle of the solar system, it’s 100000 light-years in diameter. It’s really big. But when we have more advanced observation technology, we also cross the Milky way and see the vast starry sky outside the galaxy.
So what kind of Galaxy structure is outside the Milky way? In the past, scientists observed that the Milky way belongs to the supergalaxy Virgo, which is a galaxy with a diameter of 110 million light years, including 47000 galaxies. So is this cluster the largest cosmic structure outside the Milky way?
After more advanced observation, scientists have discovered a more extensive super structure of the universe outside the Milky way, with a range of 520 million light-years. The newly discovered supercosmic structure is the Rania Kea supercluster, and the Virgo supercluster as we know it is only a part of Rania Kea.
The laniakea supercluster contains about 100000 galaxies with a range of 520 million light-years and a mass 100000 times that of the Milky way. Our Galaxy lies on a “tassel” in the network of cosmic superstructures. This kind of super structure, if reduced, is a large-scale fibrous shape, like a huge net.
These fibers form the boundaries of the void in the universe. There is almost nothing in the void of the universe. Fiber is composed of superclusters. Where these filaments cross back and forth is a huge galaxy cluster, and the blank part of the filaments is a cosmic void.
The so-called cosmic hole refers to the blank space of the universe, where there is almost nothing. In the lens of the astronomical telescope, there is a dark area, which looks like a huge black hole. Of course, the universe is not completely empty of stars and other celestial bodies, but the number is too small and the light emitted is too dim for us to observe.
It can be seen that the structures of galaxies and star clusters in the universe are not evenly distributed, but are unevenly arranged. This uneven arrangement of structures forms a huge cosmic network, which is made up of a variety of crisscross lines, where the clusters gather.
By observing and analyzing the motion trajectory of galaxies and mastering a large number of Galaxy distribution data, scientists can draw a cosmic star network. This network is very important for human beings to explore the universe in the future. We all know that we need satellite navigation for our travel on the earth. If there is no earth network, we will easily get lost and can’t find our way home.
A small earth is still so, let alone the vast universe. When human beings become interstellar civilization and go to the universe in the future, if there is no such a picture as cosmic network, we will easily get lost in the universe and never find the way home.
We should know that the cosmic environment is harsh and cruel. Once we lose our way on the interstellar Road, we may face death. Therefore, our future interstellar road needs a huge and complete cosmic network map, which is our navigation map to the interstellar. With it, you can go to the universe to free wave, otherwise you will never go back.
Of course, such a thing is far away from us. Many people will have such a question: is there any hope for human beings to go out with such a huge and vast super structure of the universe? Maybe in the eyes of many people, relativity tells us that the fastest speed of an object is the speed of light, and even if humans achieve the speed of light, it will take at least 520 million light years for us to fly out of the Rania Kea supercluster.
If it is calculated according to the speed of the fastest aircraft, it will take at least 4.4 trillion years. You know, the universe was born only 13.8 billion years ago, and it takes 4.4 trillion for humans to cross the Rania Kea supercluster at the current speed of aircraft. This obviously tells us that human beings will never get out of the super structure of the universe.
Even if we achieve the speed of light, it is impossible to go out. Does this structure make many people feel desperate? You know, this cosmic superstructure is just the tip of the iceberg. There are many superstructures in the universe, such as the Rania Kea supercluster. At present, we have found many galaxy clusters, such as the Perseus supercluster and the Perseus Pisces supercluster, each of which is comparable to the Rania Kea supercluster.
If we can’t even get out of a small Rania Kea supercluster, what else can we talk about exploring the mysteries of the whole universe? In fact, we need not be pessimistic at all. The speed of light is not the fastest speed in the universe. The fastest speed of objects in relativity is the speed of light, but the theoretical speed in a stable three-dimensional space is limited.
General relativity tells us that there is distortion in the universe. The existence of space distortion makes the speed not limited by the speed of light, and there is no upper limit. The expansion of the universe is obviously far beyond the speed of light. Otherwise, in 13.8 billion years, it can only expand to 13.8 billion light years at most.
But in fact, the current observable range of human beings has reached 93 billion light years, and beyond the observable range, there is still more vast space. It can be seen that the expansion speed of the universe is far faster than the speed of light, and this phenomenon is the result of space distortion. As long as we can grasp the mystery of space and have the ability of space distortion, we can realize space jumping or wormhole shuttle.
At that time, human spaceships could easily cross galaxies, star clusters and reach every corner of the universe. Of course, this superluminal navigation mode is still a conceptual theory in conjecture for human science and technology, and we still have a long way to go to realize it.
For human beings, there is no shortcut to science. We have only one step at a time. First, we study how to realize the speed of sublight, explore the entire solar system, and then go out of the solar system to explore the entire galaxy. When our scientific and technological strength reaches a certain level, we will naturally be able to master the superluminal technology and space hopping technology, and then human beings will be really strong.
