China is one of the four ancient civilizations in the world. The Chinese civilization has a history of about 6000 years. In such a long history, there have been countless heroes, and each dynasty has changed, composing a wonderful historical chapter. In the 6000 year history of civilization, in addition to many wonderful stories, there are also many unsolved mysteries that can not be solved up to now. Today, Xiao Bian will introduce six representative unsolved mysteries to his friends.
1、 The mystery of the disappearance of the treasures of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom in the late Qing Dynasty is that the Qing Dynasty is the last dynasty in China’s feudal history. If you want to ask which dynasty you hate the most, I believe many people will answer that it is the Qing Dynasty. Because of the corruption at the end of the Qing Dynasty, China became the backyard of foreign powers. The Allied forces of the eight countries entered Beijing, burned the full moon and robbed countless treasures.
Since the late Qianlong period, the Qing Dynasty has gone downhill, and various civil uprisings continued, among which the most famous one was the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom movement. The initial formation of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom was in Yong’an. On September 25, 1851, after the Taiping army invaded Nanjing, that is, in 1853, the capital of Tianjing was set (Nanjing was renamed Tianjing). The Taiping Heavenly Kingdom began to decline in 1858, specifically in the Tianjing rebellion. In 1864, Hong Xiuquan died, the Xiang army invaded Tianjing, and the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom officially perished.
Although the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom existed only for more than 10 years, its representative significance was different. If it wasn’t for various reasons at that time, it might be the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom movement that overthrew the Qing Dynasty. If it was so, the history might change.
Although the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom perished, the topic of Taiping Heavenly Kingdom is still popular among the people. The reason is because of the mystery of the treasure of Taiping Heavenly Kingdom. According to folklore, before the fall of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, a large number of treasures were hidden. Although this is a folk legend, the authenticity of the treasure of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom has been supported by many people, and many experts believe that the treasure is real.
Therefore, for more than 100 years, all kinds of information and clues about it have never been interrupted. Many people are still trying to find out where they are. There are many legends about the whereabouts of the treasures of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom. The first one is that after the Xiang army entered the city, Zeng Guoquan’s troops were the most advanced. According to legend, Zeng Guoquan dug up Hong Xiuquan’s hidden gold and went into his private pocket. In the end, for the destruction of evidence, he burned the palace in a big fire.
The second is that before the Qing soldiers entered the city, Hong Xiuquan handed over the treasure to an unknown little man in advance to carry it away. After the Tianwang house was broken, all the treasure belonged to the unknown little man. The third is that these treasures are still in Nanjing, and no one knows where they have been hidden.
The fourth is that the Taiping Army led by Shi Dakai, the wing king of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, was destroyed on the eve of the Dadu River and buried a large number of gold and silver treasures in a secret place. Shi Dakai still had a map of the treasure at that time. On the picture, there is a hidden motto of “facing the water and backing the mountain; treasure in the middle”.
No one knows which of the above four statements is true. However, more people think that the treasure of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom is unlikely to be in or near Nanjing city. It is more likely that Hong Xiuquan secretly transported it out in advance and hid it. The location of the treasure may be very far away from Nanjing. As a matter of fact, this is also very easy to understand. Hong Xiuquan naturally has extraordinary wisdom to become the leader of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom. He may also feel that Nanjing will be unsafe, so he moved a large number of treasures to a safe place very early. Once Nanjing city can not be preserved in the future, there is still a chance to make a comeback.
2、 The mystery of Wu Zetian’s wordless stele, if you want to ask which dynasty is the most brilliant in China’s feudal dynasties, I believe many people know that it is the Tang Dynasty. Tang Dynasty is the most powerful Dynasty in Chinese history. Not only that, it may also be the most powerful country in the world at that time. The strength of the Tang Dynasty is reflected in its unprecedented territory, and it was also a great country in the world at that time. Many countries in the world also came to worship.
Another reason why people have a strong impression of the Tang Dynasty is the birth of the first female emperor in Chinese history. I believe many people know that she is Wu Zetian. When Wu Zetian was alive, she personally participated in the construction of the Qianling mausoleum. On the tombstone of Emperor Gaozong of the Tang Dynasty, more than 8000 words of foreign wine were spilled, praising the great achievements of Emperor Gaozong of the Tang Dynasty. However, on her own tombstone, there was no word, which was called “wuzibei”. For thousands of years, scholars have been filled with emotion and speculated on Wu Zetian’s intention of setting up a “wordless stele” for herself.
Although Empress Wu Zetian was a rebellious thing in the feudal society dominated by male chauvinism in ancient times, from a modern point of view, she was the only outstanding female emperor in Chinese history. When she was emperor, she made great contributions to the prosperity of the Tang Dynasty, and her achievements were no less than those of Taizong. Therefore, the first statement about Empress Wu Zetian’s “wordless stele” is used to praise To show off one’s merits and virtues is beyond words.
The second view is that Wu Zetian set up the “wordless stele” because she knew her sins were serious and felt that it was better not to write the stele. Although Wu Zetian’s achievements are very great, she can’t erase all kinds of evils she did when she became emperor by any means. Even after becoming emperor, in order to eliminate dissidents, they also took very cruel measures.
The third view is that Wu Zetian is a person with self-knowledge. It’s a wise move to set up a “wordless monument”. It’s the best way to let future generations comment on her merits and demerits. Of course, the above three statements are only conjectures of later generations. As for why Wu Zetian did it, maybe only she knows. Maybe this mystery will be found in Wu Zetian’s mausoleum, which can only be solved in the future.
3、 The mystery of Xu Fu’s eastward journey is known to many people by Qin Shihuang. He was also a great emperor who unified China. After the unification of China, the first emperor of Qin was determined to achieve immortality, so he sent Xu Fu with 3000 craftsmen and 500 young boys and girls to the sea to seek the elixir in Xianshan.
But when Qin Shihuang died, Xu Fu didn’t come back. So where Xu Fu went has become one of the “eternal mysteries” in Chinese history.
There are many guesses about Xu Fu’s whereabouts in history. The first guess is that Xu Fu’s fleet may be completely destroyed in the storm because of his poor navigation skills at that time. In fact, the possibility of this statement is very high. We should know that the earth’s surface is dominated by the ocean, and even now, the sea is still not a very safe place.
There are often super waves on the sea. Even if the modern powerful ships can’t avoid such waves, they may be destroyed and killed. Not to mention thousands of years ago, in the era of the first emperor of Qin Dynasty, the sea was a forbidden area for human beings. At that time, people didn’t know much about the sea. Shipbuilding technology was very backward. Once they ventured into the sea, there was a great probability that the ship would be destroyed and people would die in the storm.
The second is that Xu Fu’s fleet came to Japan and lived there. So far, there are still many traces of Xu Fu’s activities in Japan. Whether this statement is true or not, there is no definite evidence at present. Although Xu Fu has an extraordinary position in Japan, everything is possible before it is really confirmed that Xu Fu’s tomb is in Japan.
The third is that Xu Fu lost his way in the sea. Now in North Korea and South Korea, many Koreans think that Confucius and the four great inventions belong to them. The fourth is that Xu Fu found the fairy mountain in the legend and became the fairy in the legend. Of course, the fourth is obviously unreliable. The truth may have to wait for future experts to solve it.
4、 The mystery of Guiguzi’s life experience is that the spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period were the times when heroes vied for hegemony and heroes frequently appeared in Chinese history. The spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period have always been the most mysterious period in the history of Chinese civilization. In this era, there are four great figures, Zhang Yi, Su Qin, Sun Bin and Pang Juan, who are called “four friends of ghost Valley” by later generations
During the whole period of the spring and autumn war, under the strategy of these four men, they either attacked the city and plundered the land, or joined forces, leaving a brilliant page in ancient Chinese history. Many friends who are interested in history may know these four people, but few of them know where they learned their skills?
In fact, these four people have a common master, he is Guiguzi. Most of the records about Guiguzi come from unofficial history. It is said that he knew astronomy and geography from top to bottom. He was not only a representative of Taoism, but also a master of military strategists and the originator of political strategists. If we say that the spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period is a chessboard, and Guiguzi’s disciples all over the seven kingdoms are chessboards, then Guiguzi is the person who plays chess, which affects the whole pattern of the spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period.
Guiguzi is a legendary and mysterious figure in Chinese history. It is difficult to find Guiguzi in the official history. There is no biography for him in ZhanGuoCe and Shiji. Up to now, people have not even made clear his life experience, did not know his birthplace, did not know the time of his birth and death. Some people even doubt whether Guiguzi in history really exists?
But the book Guiguzi is real, so Guiguzi should also exist, but he is too mysterious to reveal his real identity.
