Who decides the length of human life? Scientists find evidence to work out the ultimate life span of human beings

Human life is the most wonderful thing in the world. Nothing is more wonderful than life. Unlike other planets, the earth has suitable sunlight, atmosphere to protect human survival, and abundant water resources. This relationship of time, geography, human and nature makes the earth the only planet in the universe to discover life.

As for life, for example, there are many unknown areas. Now the world’s medical level has been very high, some sensational, extremely cruel medical accidents can also save people in danger. Not only that, every year the Nobel Prize in physiology and medicine has countless scientific research achievements for the benefit of mankind.

Although human beings have lived on the earth for thousands of years, there are too many unsolved mysteries in many unknown places. For example, where does human consciousness come from, who is “I” and how diseases occur? More importantly, how long does our human life span last? If we are healthy and healthy all our lives, and everyone does not smoke or drink, will our life span average?

For life, the most important thing is life and death. With the development of human civilization, the demand for food has changed from “appeasing hunger” in the past to the hope of a better life now. There are even people who want to live forever. Since ancient times, people have always wanted to know the secret of immortality. So there are usually many alchemists in the court. They learned the ancient prescriptions by hearsay, so as to refine immortal elixirs. Although people who advocate science now know that the longevity of elixir is nonsense, scientists all over the world still want to know the secret of life and reveal the essence of aging.

As of today, more than 3000 scientists around the world have studied the causes of life aging and expressed their own opinions. But without exception, there is no substantial evidence for their views, so the textbooks that we now identify in the educational circles have never explained the cause of life aging.

Although we don’t have a definite answer yet, we might as well choose some of the reasons for these assumptions to share with you. Maybe you will also be inspired by them? One of the most supported and the most successful theories is telomere hypothesis.

We all know that human beings can grow from a small baby to a strong adult through cell division. Based on human genetic materials, cells divide from one cell to two, and then from two to four, showing exponential growth. As a result, human beings can grow rapidly.

But cells not only divide, they die. When humans are developing, ten cells divide and only one of them dies. But as people get older, 10 cells divide, and 20 of them may die. According to telomere theory, cell death is closely related to telomere at both ends of the cell.

Telomeres are like caps of genetic material, located in a small section of the cell at both ends. Although it has little effect on cell development, it is not necessary to lack it. However, in the process of cell division, telomere length is shortened, which will be irreversible. Therefore, cell division is not infinite. When telomere length is reduced to a certain extent, cells will face death. There is no direct evidence for the direct impact of human longevity, but three scientists who discovered telomere still won the Nobel Prize in medicine. According to this calculation, the ultimate life span of human beings is 120 years.
